“...a shining young voice with an exciting future.”
Originally from Palo Alto, California, tenor Kevin N. Traugott relocated to Berlin, Germany to continue his exciting and developing operatic career.
Having completed studies at both the esteemed Eastman School of Music and San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Mr. Traugott has also received training at the prestigious Internationale Akademie Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, in an intimate masterclass setting with soprano Gundula Janowitz.
After early international success within a wide array of predominantely lyric operatic roles, including Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Boheme, Malcolm in Verdi’s Macbeth, Gastone in Verdi’s La Traviata, Goro in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Fenton in Verdi’s Falstaff, Mime in Wagner’s Siegfried, Borsa in Verdi’s Rigoletto and Sesto in Handel's Giulio Cesare, Mr. Traugott stepped away from the stage in order to take his voice in a new direction. After much study and further development, Mr. Traugott is excited to return to the operatic scene debuting as a tenor leggero.
With a fresh and newly inspired instrument, Mr. Traugott’s growing and developing repertoire highlights roles such as Ernesto in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Don Ramiro in Rossini’s La Cenerentola and Tonio in Donizetti’s La Fille du Régiment.
We look forward to you joining Mr. Traugott on this exciting new vocal journey.
